We are currently seeking a Product Finisher #1 – Rod Straightening to join our Boart Longyear team in Mississauga, Ontario.

Minimum Qualifications

• College Diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of related experience.
• Must be authorized to work in Canada.
• Must be able to lift up-to 50 lbs.
• Basic computer and math skills required.
• Experience working in a lean manufacturing environment.
• Experience working in a unionized environment.
• Candidates must be able to adapt to 8,10, or 12 hour shifts.
• Candidates must also be able to adapt to a 24/7 shift.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate products and identify deformities.
• Move deformed products to a hydraulic straightening press.
• Operation of overhead crane for products over 50 lbs.
• Manual material handling for products under 50 lbs.
• Using hydraulic press, resolve product deformities.
• This position requires ongoing physical demands including lifting, bending, walking, and standing.
