Job Summary:
The Certified Journeyman Millwright is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial machinery and mechanical equipment. This role requires a high level of technical expertise and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, maintain, and repair mechanical systems and industrial machinery, including motors, pumps, conveyors, fans, and other equipment.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to plan and execute tasks.
Align and calibrate machinery and equipment for proper functionality and efficiency.
Utilize precision measuring instruments to ensure accurate and precise installation and maintenance.
Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues, proposing effective solutions for repair and maintenance.
Work with other tradespeople, such as electricians and welders, to complete projects and ensure the smooth operation of equipment.
Adhere to safety standards and procedures, ensuring a safe work environment for yourself and others.
Maintain accurate records of work performed, including maintenance logs and service reports.
Assist with the installation of new equipment and machinery, ensuring proper setup and calibration.
Qualifications:
Certified Journeyman Millwright designation or equivalent certification.
Proven experience as a millwright, with a strong background in mechanical and industrial maintenance.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Proficient in the use of precision measuring tools and equipment.
Familiarity with safety standards and regulations related to industrial maintenance.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces or at heights.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in the mining industry or similar.
Additional certifications related to welding, machining, or electrical work would be an asset.
Schedule and Location:
7 days in,
7 days out on rotation

Pay: $45.00-$50.00 per hour
Expected hours: 84 per week
